Frances Fussell & Chris Fussell Chris and Frances met at the National Art School, East Sydney Technical College in 1967 and have been practicing artists for the past 40 years: Frances as a painter, weaver, printmaker and more recently with mosaics; Chris with painting, sculpture, printmaking and also producing large murals for Kurri’s "Towns with Heart" project. In the early 1970s they moved from Sydney to their property in the Hunter Valley where they have built a mudbrick house and studio. They often exhibit together and this is their 3rd exhibition at the Oriel Gallery, Ascot. For this this exhibition Frances has produced a series of Abstract paintings, a major diversion from her usual Stillife or Flower paintings, while Chris is exhibiting recent landscapes.
